Marie Joyce Fanning

ROCHESTER, MINN:Marie J. Fanning, 75, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. Marie Joyce Belcher was born March 30, 1938 to Charles and Helen (Henderson) Belcher in Kalispell, MT. She was raised in Shelby, MT and graduated from Shelby High School. After graduation, Marie moved to Rochester, MN. She married George Fanning on June 29, 1957 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. She worked for the Kahler and Rochester Methodist Hospital in the Dietary and Pharmacy Central Supply for many years. Marie was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed sewing, baking, knitting, crocheting and travel. Marie is survived by her children, Thomas Fanning, Elysian, MN, Dean (Mary Jo) Fanning, Oronoco, MN, and Jeff Fanning, Rochester, MN; her grand daughter Katelyn Fanning; a sister Janet (Ronald) Bielen, Fort Benton, MT, and her brother Marvin (Carol) Belcher, Veradale, WA. and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 2009, and a brother Robert. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 4:00 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
