Marie Helene Greening

ROCHESTER, MINN:Marie H. Greening, 86, died at her home in Rochester on Sunday, August 11, 2013. Marie Helene Hanson was born August 24, 1926, to Samuel and Bertha (Olson) Hanson in Decorah, IA. She was raised in the rural Decorah area and graduated from Mabel High School, Mabel MN. Marie married Francis K. Greening on June 30, 1947, in Decorah, IA. She was a waitressfor various restaurants in Rochester for many years, and she retired from Pace Dairy. Marie enjoyed gardening, crocheting and reading. Marie is survived by her children, Robert (Mary) Greening, Kasson, MN, David Greening, Rochester, MN, JoAnn (Chuck) Bodin, Cannon Falls, MN, James (Becky) Greening, Rochester, MN, Gary Greening, Byron, MN, Sharon Greening (Chuck Theis), Cannon Falls, MN, and Linda (Jerome) Wickert, Rochester, MN; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis, two daughters Marilyn and Judy, two sisters and six brothers. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
