Marie Elva Singfiel

Marie Elva Singfiel, age 85, of Dodge Center, died on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. She was born on May 19, 1930, in Rochester, MN, to Albert and Elva (Laabs) Singfiel. Marie graduated from Rochester High School. After school, she worked on the family farm with her brothers and sister her whole life long. She was active in 4-H and later became a 4-H leader. Marie was also active with the county extension office. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester where she was baptized and confirmed. Marie enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, and painting. She liked visiting with the residents at the nursing homes and also loved when members from the church would visit with her. Marie is survived by her brothers, Ted Singfiel of Dodge Center and Edward Singfiel of Rochester; nieces and nephews; and other extended family members. Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Singfiel. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Joel Haak officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
