Marian T. Kelzer, age 70, of Rochester, MN died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Homestead in Rochester, MN after a ten year battle with Parkinsons Disease. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Pax Christi Catholic Church with Father Joseph Fogal presiding. The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Memorials are preferred to the family and will be donated to Parkinsons Research. Marian Theresa Ward was born on January 19, 1946, in Milbank, SD, to John and Thina (Tenneson) Ward. She attended Revillo Public Schools and graduated from Revillo High School in 1964. On September 2, 1967, she married Eugene L. Kelzer. They lived in Minneapolis, Rochester, Texas, Byron, and Mora. They later returned to Rochester to make their home. Marian was primarily a stay at home mom, but enjoyed working with kids as a Cub Scout Den leader, Rochester YMCA Y-Tots, Byron Project Kids and St. Pius School lunch aide. Marian is survived by her husband, Gene; sons, Tom (DeAnn) of Grand Meadow and Brad (Stacy) of Princeton; grandchildren, Emily, Logan, Ben and Greta; sister, June (Fred) Freese of Bloomington; brother, Pat (Kay) Ward of Clark, SD; sister-in-law, Vi Ward of Milbank, SD; numerous nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her grandson, Owen; parents; sister, Joyce Ward; brothers, Roger and Dennis Ward.
