Marian Kjos

Marian T. Kjos, 91, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at River Bend Assisted Living in Rochester, surrounded by her family. Marian was born on November 23, 1924 in Astoria, South Dakota to Ted and Martha (Iverson) Kjos.Marian graduated from Lanesboro High School and Winona State University where she obtained a degree in teaching. She taught elementary school for over forty years in Spring Valley and Stewartville. She retired in 1988. Marian often combined her passion for golf and travel, golfing in Arizona and Florida every winter. She was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, above all else she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by 13 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and their wives Ole (Jean) Kjos, Kenneth (Jean) Kjos and Gordon (Marilyn) Kjos and niece, Karen Werner. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Rochester, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
