Margie Herrick

Margie Herrick, long time Rochester resident, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. Margie M. Herrick was born on February 12, 1924 to George and Millie Kobs Herrick in Lake City, MN.At an early age she moved to Rochester where she grew up, graduating from Rochester High School in 1942.After completing her education she worked for the Olmsted County Ration Board during World War II and then started at the Mayo Clinic in 1945.She retired from the clinic in 1985 after completing forty years employment there. Margie is survived by her cousins, Bob (Alice) McKeag of Oshkosh, WI, Dick (Delight) of Grantsburg, WI, Jill (Kurt) Richter of Rochester, Katie (Chris) Cowden and Tyler Richter of Rochester.She was preceded in death by her parents, several uncles and aunts and infant brother, Rodney. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.Following the service the cremains will be interred at the Farm Hill Cemetery.Memorials may be sent to Paws & Claws Humane Society.
