Margery Bisset

Margery L. Makeever Bisset, 96 years old, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born January 11, 1922 in Davenport, Iowa. Marge was a teacher for many years starting in a one room schoolhouse in Joliet, Illinois. She was member of Willow Avenue / Westminster Presbyterian Church. Marge met John K. Bisset in the church orchestra. They were married on Oct 20, 1946. They loved to go camping and spending time with grandchildren. Marge moved to Rochester July, 2010 where she enjoyed watching her great grandchildren grow and enjoyed the woman's Bible studies at Calvary Evangelical Free Church. Preceded in death by her husband, her parents Carl and Alma Makeever, brothers Robert and Raymond Makeever and son-in-law Dale Starkey. Survived by daughter Judy Starkey, sons David (Kristine) Bisset and Richard (Deborah) Bisset, 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday Nov. 28, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home from 5 - 7 pm. Visitation Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church at 1 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. A service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Joliet at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial to MARC (memo Kids to Camp) or Children's Heart Project (CHP) c/o C. E. F. C. would be appreciated.
