Margaret "Kitty" Tinsman Larson, age 88, of Evergreen, Colorado (formerly of Rochester, Minnesota) passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020 at Collier Lutheran Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Kitty was born September 18, 1932 in Loudoun County, Virginia, the daughter of Dora Margaret (Rhodes) and Andrew Tinsman. She graduated from Aldie High School (VA) in 1950 and completed nursing school at Garfield Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Washington D.C. in 1953. She married Dale Larson in 1954 and in their union had four children. In 1971, the family moved to Rochester, Minnesota, where Kitty continued her career in nursing until her retirement. Kitty enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, gardening and traveling, and visited more than a dozen countries in her lifetime. Kitty is survived by her four children, Mark (Vicki) Larson of Blaine, MN, Ellen (John) Lee of Placencia, Belize, Tom (Dana) Larson of Evergreen, CO and Philip Larson of Hudson, CO. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Rachel, Sara and Casey, and two great-grandchildren, Bennett and Mila. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles "Jack" Tinsman and Andrew "Buddy" Tinsman, and her husband, Dale Larson.
