Margaret 'Margo' Bernice Schuman

ROCHESTER -Margaret Margo B. Schuman, 84, died on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. Margo was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on August 20, 1926 to Fred and Mary Ann (Lukastik) Larson.She came to Rochester in 1939 and graduated from Rochester High School.Margo worked as a waitress at the South Crystal Restaurant in Rochester and then the Worrell Hospital.She also was a cook for 25 years at St. Marys Hospital.Margo married Richard Schuman in 1951 and they enjoyed 36 wonderful years together before he passed away.She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Rochester.She also was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.Margo enjoyed traveling, bowling, cooking, and especially loved spending time with her family.Margo was thankful for her last few years spent at Sunrise Cottages. Margo is survived by two children, Vickie (Howard) Luehmann, of Lewiston, MN, and Connie (Edward) Feeder, of Rochester; a sister, Betty (Donald) Harris, of Rochester; a brother, William (Doris) Larson, of Rochester; five grandchildren, Scott Feeder, of Rochester, Jeff Feeder, of Plymouth, MN, Heath (Cristen) Luehmann, of St. Louis, MO, Brandon (Rachel) Luehmann, of Winona, MN, and Kayla (Matthew) Marty, of St. Louis, MO; and two great grandchildren, Trace Luehmann and Micah Marty.. Margo is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; and a sister, Gloria. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2904 20th Street SE, with Rev. Scott Schilbe officiating.Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church.
