Margaret Luella Petersen

Margaret Petersen, 96, of Rochester, MN passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. Margaret Luella Petersen was born November 8, 1919 in Eyota, MN to Stewart and Lena (Streich) Bilderback.Margaret moved to Rochester at a young age.She attended Rochester Central School and then Hoffman High.After high school Margaret moved to Oronoco, MN.Margaret married Roger Nelson, they later divorced.She married Rueben Petersen in 1972 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.Margaret was a home maker and later worked as a housekeeping supervisor at Saint Marys, retiring in 1985.Margaret enjoyed gardening, playing cards, painting and canning. Margaret is survived by her grandson Kevin (Michele Rauk) Nelson of Rochester, step daughters Margaret Peggy Mink of Rochester, Pamela (Kevin Staloch) Petersen of Oronoco, daughter in law Norita Rita Nelson of Red Wing, sister Beulah Parkin of Rochester, and three great grandchildren Kali, Riana, and Gage. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son Lyle, step daughter Eileen, one sister, and two brothers. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 24, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.A private family graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Rochester.
