Marcia Anne Witzke

ROCHESTER:Marcia A. Witzke, age 58, died Monday, March 6, 2012 at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester, MN. Marcia Anne Horsman was born April 23, 1953 to Ervin and Thoreen (Nagle) Horsman in Preston, MN.Marcia graduated from John Marshall High School in 1971.She then worked at the Mayo Clinic from 1971 to 2005.Marcia started as a technician in the Special Pulmonary Evaluation Lab and retired as supervisor after 34 years.Marcia married Scot Witzke in Oronoco on January 19, 1985.She enjoyed gardening, quilting, camping and fishing.She was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church.Marcia loved to sing in the choir at church and served on several committees. Survivors include her husband, Scot of Rochester; two daughters, Andrea Malcomson and Rachel Witzke both of Rochester; her mother, Thoreen Horsman of Rochester; three brothers, Dana (Priscilla) Horsman of Truman, MN, Dave (Ann) Horsman of Zumbrota, MN, Eric (Sandra) Horsman of Cottage Grove, MN; and one sister, Allison (Tim) McClanahan of Pine Island, MN.She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin; and a brother, Robert. There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 10, 2012 starting at 11:00 at Hosanna Lutheran Church (2815 57th Street NW) with the Reverend William Meiers officiating.Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour before the service at the church.There will be a private family burial at a later date.
