Mamie L. King, age 85, of Rochester, Minnesota died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at her home. Mamie Louise Wrenn was born June 24, 1933 in Greenwood, South Carolina the daughter of Everett and Louise (Bringle) Wrenn. She was raised and completed her schooling in Greenwood. Mamie married Clifton King on March 27, 1955. They resided in Greenwood then moved to Rochester, MN in 1960. Mamie and Clifton worked together in the carnival and show business from 1963 to 1972 traveling throughout the area until she became a homemaker. Mamie and Clifton were members of Little People of America. She is survived by her nieces and nephews along with extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton; infant daughter; infant son; sisters, Lilie Mae "Dixie" Boxx and Margie Laughin. Mamie's extended family would like to thank her neighbors and Steve (Laura) Swarthout and Roger (Pat) Christenson for all of their help and caring over the years. Funeral services for Mamie will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 at Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2207 11th Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904 with the Reverend Brian Semrow officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Housing Foundation of Olmsted County, Cancer Research or Multiple Sclerosis.
