Luverne Moe

Luverne O. Moe, age 95, of Rochester, MN passed away January 23, 2025 at Vineyard Ranch in Temecula, CA.

Luverne was born July 29, 1929 in Rock Dell, MN the son of Abner and Elsie (Grovdahl) Moe. He entered the United States Air Corps on March 10, 1947 and earned the rank of Corporal. He was honorably discharged on January 18, 1950, from the United States Army. Luverne was united in marriage to Helen Mewhorter on June 16, 1951, and were blessed with three daughters. Nancy, Jane, and Pamela.

Luverne worked at Rochester Dairy for 28 years and as a salesman for Snap-On-Tools for 15 years. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Senior Citizen group. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, and visiting friends and family. After retiring Luverne and Helen enjoyed rv'ing and wintering in AZ.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Larry) Fransen, and Pamela Stables; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; his brothers, Merlin Moe, Stanley Moe, Norman (Bonnie) Moe, and Daryel (Sylvia) Moe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, daughter, Jane; his parents, and son-in-law, Jay Stables; his brothers, Joseph and Ardean Moe; and two sisters-in-law.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church (810 3rd Ave SE Rochester, MN) with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with full military honors will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
