It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucinda (Cindy) Kerr, age 75, on January 11, 2025 at Cascade Creek Memory Care. Cindy was born on September 27, 1949 in Rochester, MN to Charlotte and Robert Lee. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1967, and she attended the University of Minnesota. Cindy married Gerald Struckmann on October 3, 1970 and they later divorced. Cindy married the love of her life, Harry Kerr, on January 25, 1986 and they have six children.
Cindy worked at Municipal Employees Credit Union, then as a senior child support officer for Olmsted County, and later she worked at First Alliance Credit Union.
Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, who brought love, joy and warmth to everyone she met. She had a gift for cooking, home decorating, hosting gatherings for family and friends, and making those around her feel special and welcome, and she made a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Cindy lived a full and vibrant life, with a passion for boating, traveling, cheering on the Vikings, shopping at Talbots, loving her dogs and supporting her grandchildren at many events. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, including the close friends she and Harry have in the local veteran community. She was known for her beautiful smile, sweet laugh, amazing generosity, and abundant acts of kindness.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Kerr; children Holly Jones (Robert), Angela Struckmann (Mark Schiferl), Tracey Fogarty (Christopher), Jason Struckmann, and Jennifer Cheney (Joe); grandchildren Emma Torkelson (Jace), Abby Hess, Ayva Fogarty, Maya Fogarty, Grace Cheney, Savanna Cheney, Ty Jones, and Brock Jones; great grandchildren Navy Torkelson and Kairo Morgan; brothers Robert Lee and Richard Lee (Judi); and puppy Stella.
