Lucille Marcella Schacht

Lucille M. Schacht, 101, of Rochester, MN died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Madonna Towers. Lucille Marcella Halling was born January 30, 1918 to Clarence and Ella (Erickson) Halling in Rochester, MN. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School in 1936. On June 30, 1939 she married William Schacht in Rochester. She worked a few years for an insurance office in Rochester. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and cooking for her family. Lucille would always share her flowers and food with family and friends as they would leave. Family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings and birthdays. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Jean Olsen of Ames, IA, Nancy Schacht of South St. Paul, MN and Susan Rislove of Winona, MN; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Martha Scudmore; four brothers; two sisters; one great grandson and son-in-law, David Rislove. There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Madonna Towers Chapel in Rochester with the Reverend Nick Mezacapa officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service at Madonna Towers. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Ranfranz and vine Funeral Homes is honored to be serving the Schacht family.
