Lucille M. Laursen

Lucille M. Laursen, 92, of Rochester, MN died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. Lucille Mary Kelly was born September 27, 1922 in Saint Charles, MN to William and Leona (Larson) Kelly.Lucille worked for Worell Hospital and Pace Dairy.She married Robert Laursen on October 2, 1944 in Stewartville, MN.Robert passed away in 1995.Lucille was a member of the Christian Womens group and was also a 4H leader and girl scout leader. She enjoyed playing cards and luches with friends and family. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran church. Lucille is survived by her children, Tammie (Michael) Zimny of Rochester, MN and Suzann Kirkpatrick of Faribault, MN; five grandchildren, Mark and James W. Kirkpatrick, Wendy Gillen and Christopher and Katie Zimny; and four great grandchildren, Cheyanne Folman, Kimberly Miller and Fey and Drake Kirkpatrick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one sister, Margaret McDonald and one son-in-law, James Kirkpatrick. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be from Noon-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. The family of Lucille would like to say a special thank you to Tony and Hilda Bivanis for being such good friends and also to the staff at Seasons Hospice and Cottagewood Senior Communities for the care given to Lucille.
