Lucille Ella Rietmann

ROCHESTER, MINN: Lucille E. Rietmann, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Samaritan Bethany. Lucille was born October 30, 1927 in Wabasha County to Frank and Helen (Seim) Springer. On September 13, 1952 in Potsdam, MN, Lucille married Wilmer Will Rietmann.Lucille was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge and past member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. She loved coin collecting, photography, cooking and keeping up on current world events. In Lucille's younger years, she worked as a waitress at Michael's restaurant. Lucille and Will spent many years as landlords in Rochester and enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Canada and Mexico together. They also loved attending air shows and going dancing. The main love of Lucille's life was her family and making many memories together. Lucille is survived by her children, Sharla Wagy of Rosemount, MN, Darvey (Lisa) Rietmann of Rochester; 2 grandchildren, Lauren and Alaina and her sisters, Myrtle Ziebell of Winona, Nettie (Dutch) Kruger and Ardella Hodkinson both of Rochester, Marilyn (Larry) Kappers of Spring Valley, and Evelyn Moen of Rochester. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Wilmer; parents, Frank and Helen; 3 brothers, Arnold, Clarence, and Frank, and 4 sisters, Hazel Cox, Viola Wiebusch, Verna Gerken and Elsie Folkert. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 11, 2012 at Zumbro Lutheran Church, 624 3rd Ave. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Rev. Vern Christopherson will be officiating with entombment at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
