Louise Berkman Tinetti, age 95, passed away peacefully at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home in Rochester on April 6, 2015. She was born on April 6, 1920, in Rochester, to Dr. David and Frances (Scott) Berkman. She was the granddaughter of David and Gertrude (Mayo) Berkman and the great-granddaughter of Dr. William Worrall and Louise Mayo. Louise graduated from Rochester High School in 1937 and from Stephens College in Columbia, MO in 1939. An aviation enthusiast, she earned her private pilot's license in 1940. She married Paul Tinetti in 1942. They were divorced in 1961 and he preceded her in death. Louise was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John W. Berkman and Dr. David S. Berkman. She is loved and survived by her four children, Michele Tinetti of Rochester, Jill Tinetti of Winona, David (Sara) Tinetti of St. Paul, MN and Stephen (Cathy) Tinetti of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Berkman Eckardt of Sheboygan, WI, Ruth Berkman Long of Bloomington, MN and Helen Berkman of Minneapolis, MN. She was dear Aunt Weezie to her many nieces and nephews. Her family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Country Club House at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home for the loving care Louise received as a resident there.
