Rochester, Minnesota LOUELLA FAY NEKUDA Louella Fay Hesselgesser was born on June 22, 1942 in Riverton, Wyoming to Forrest and Hellen (Walker) Hesselgesser.She died on June 23, 2011 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Louella moved with her family to Burwell, Nebraska and she graduated from Burwell High School.On October 10, 1959, she married Donald Nekuda in Burwell, Nebraska.They moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1981 and Louella worked as a pharmacy technician for Mayo Clinic for many years, retiring in 2001. Louella loved flowers and working in her gardens.She enjoyed nature, bird watching and taking trips. She enjoyed visiting her family in Nebraska and took special interest in her granddaughter and great granddaughter. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Rochester, Minnesota; one daughter, Renay (Keith) Dey of Lincoln, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Kaleena Kowalzyk and one great granddaughter, Kadence Kowalzyk; one brother,C.L. (MaryAnn) Hesselgesser Sr. of Lake Jackson, Texas and two sisters, Maryetta Smith of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Thelma (Gene) Lurz of Valentine, Nebraska.Louella was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Myron. The family will greet friends at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Seasons Hospice Cottage on 5650Weatherhill Road SWin Rochester and a celebration of her life will follow at 4:30pm. In lieu of flowers,memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Paws and Claws Humane Society of Rochester.
