Lorraine (Lorre) C. Grim, age 92 of Rochester left this earth peacefully and into the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with family and Angels surrounding her on March 1, 2018 after a month-long battle with Influenza. She had resided at Madonna Towers Skilled Nursing Facility with Dementia/Alzheimer's for 10 years. The youngest of three children, Lorre was born in Evanston, Illinois on November 19, 1925 to George and Elizabeth (Bielen) Moore and moved to Rochester at the age of two. Lorre (pronounced Lorie) graduated from Rochester High School. After graduation she moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a secretary at The Treasury Department. She would later move back to Rochester. Lorre had worked at "The Clinic", as it was referred to back then, on and off for a few years. She had started her career with Olmsted County Health Department in 1960 until she retired in 1992. Lorre was a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. While in good health she was a member of the Rosary Society and would lead daily rosary, was active in the Society for the Propagation of the Faith and was a member of the Carmelite Third Order. Survivors include her six children, Jeff, Greg and Mark Grim, of Minneapolis and Howard (Melanie) Grim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mary Jude Grim of Rochester, Ann Grim (Diane Stricker) of Gilbert, AZ, and four grandchildren. Lorre was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Richard of Rochester and one sister Betty Olivier of San Francisco, CA. A memorial service for Lorre will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial at Oronoco Cemetery will be at a future date.
