Lori Vrieze

Lori Ann Vrieze born in Eau Claire, WI December 10, 1967- died, at age 56, August 12th, 2024. She passed in her home in Rochester, MN surrounded by family. Her parents were August Edgar Bell and Eleanor Mary Bell. She married Paul Allen Vrieze August 14th, 1993 in Berne, MN. They shared almost 31 years of marriage and more memories living in Rochester, MN raising 8 children together: Dana Lynn Beer (37), Samantha Rene Vrieze (29), Clayton William Vrieze (28), Sydney Eleanor Vrieze (24), Garret August Vrieze (20), Jayla Joy Berrio (19), Adrian Orlando Berrio (15), Sofia Catalina Berrio (14). They have 2 grandchildren: Brody David Beer (12) and Maya Lynn Beer (10). She is survived by her siblings: Greg Bell, Sharon Omdahl, Mary Gorud, Diane Hoelker, Predeceased by brother Doug Bell.

Lori dedicated herself to her family, home, and childcare, it was a labor of love. She had a passion for working with children, gardening of all kinds, learning new homesteading ideas, crafting and so much more. She had the ability to make anything from nothing, turn something negative to something positive. Her biggest dream was to move north to Wirt, MN with family, to build her gardens and live life to the fullest.

She started her childcare in 1994 and opened her home to so many families for 28 years. During that time she worked with foster care and emergency care creating a safe, happy, and bright environment for many children. She treated her career like her gardens. She nurtured small minds, building a secure and positive environment, watching them grow and thrive. She has impacted so many lives with her patience, understanding and love of working with children.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, optimism in any situation, pride for her children and home, and the patience of a saint.

Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held from 4-6PM on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Interment will be in Hamilton Cemetery in Racine, MN.
