Lori Marie (Ashenmacher) Holman

Lori Marie (Ashenmacher) Holman, 46, of Byron, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospice, Methodist Hospital, in Rochester, MN. Lori was born November 30, 1971, in Rochester, MN, to James and Judy (Schwanke) Ashenmacher. Lori was a 1990 graduate of John Marshall High School. Lori worked as an appointment coordinator at Mayo Clinic for 19 years. She was a very caring and compassionate person and, while at work, she always followed the Mayo motto, "the patient always comes first." On December 31, 2006, Lori married Roger Holman in Rochester. Lori had a passion for photography and Lori and Roger loved touring the Minnesota North Shore, taking photos and enjoying the beauty of nature and the fall colors. Lori enjoyed baking, she loved music, loved flowers, and was an avid reader. She was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed going to various car shows. Lori is survived by her husband, Roger; mother, Judy Ashenmacher; father, Jim (Jackie House) Ashenmacher; sister, Lisa Thompson; mother- and father-in-law, Kathy and Roger Holman of Chisholm, MN; sister-in-law, Kerry (Darren) Nelson; brother-in-law, Jason Holman; nieces, Devin Nelson and Rhiannon Zych; nephews, Drew Nelson and Sean Thompson; great niece, Pira Zych and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial celebrating Lori's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW (18th Avenue and 55th Street) Rochester.
