ROCHESTER, MINN:Loretta Jean Boyce, 83, at the time of her passing was embraced by her family's love as she was greeted in heaven by her eternal father. Loretta J. Ostrander was born on December 23, 1928 to Elmer and Mary (O'Neil) Ostrander. Loretta married Donald Verness and they were later divorced. She married Thomas Boyce and he is now deceased. Loretta worked at many various jobs, including a waitress at Woolworths and Baskins Robbins. She also worked at ABC helping the disabled and at Rochester State Hospital. Loretta enjoyed dancing, bingo, and music. Loretta raised her family and helped raise her grandson Jer Bear. She will be remembered for her kind heart, huge smile, loving arms, and firery wit. She was adored by all who knew her and known as Gram Gram to her precious grandchildren. Loretta is survived by her children, Cheryl (Thomas Mason) Verness, Albert Lea, MN, Lori Hubbard, Rochester, MN, and Rhonda (William Julsrud) Boyce, Rochester, MN, Daniel VerNess, Mexico, Rolland (Evalynn) VerNess, St. Charles, MN; fourteen grandchildren, Jer Bear, Justin, T.J., Amber, Zachary, Jordyn, Todd, Ryan, Jason, Todd, Jayme, Shianne, Kelly, and Nicole; sixteen great grandchildren; her sisters, Josephine McNess, Sunland, CA, LaDonna Ostrander, Bloomington, MN, Darlene (William) Aufenthie, Rochester, MN, Karren Henry, PA, Sheila Fluegel, Chatfield, MN, and her brother Eric Ostrander, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, her brother and three sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be inOakwood Cemetery.
