Lois Ruth Sergeant

Lois R. Sergeant, age 82, of Rochester, died on July 20, 2015, at her home. Celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, with Pastor Byron Meline officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery. Lois Ruth Wiebold was born on June 27, 1933, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Walter W. and Gladys M. (Bennett) Wiebold. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1951. Lois began working at the Mayo Clinic and left for a period of time before returning to Rochester in 1974. She continued working at the Mayo Clinic until her retirement. Lois also worked part time at Dayton's Department Store and volunteered at the Rochester Methodist Auxillary. She enjoyed reading, counted cross stitch, crossword puzzles, bridge, and following the MN Vikings and MN Twins. Lois is survived by her children, Allison (Lyle) Johnson of Stewartville and Bradford (Robert Wirtz) Sergeant of Concord, CA; grandchildren, Meagan, Jennifer, Brian and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Sandra Ruiz of Riverside, CA. Lois was preceded in death by her parents.
