Lois McCullough, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2017. Lois Elaine Anderson was born April 1, 1927 in Gary, IN to Harry and Selma Anderson. The family moved to Chesterton, IN in 1936, where Lois enjoyed the Lake Michigan beaches in the summer and wasa cheerleader for the high school teams until graduating in 1945. She was united in marriage to Leroy (Lee) McCullough on December 21, 1946 at the Church of Nazarene in Valporaiso, IN. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They made their home in Hobart, IN until 1961 when they moved to Rochester, MN. She enjoyed home decorating, was an accomplished seamstress and talented in calligraphy. With her husband and children, she enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing and travel throughout much of the U.S. Her faith in Christ was most important in her life. She was active in her church as a teacher, director of childrens bible school and was a member of the choir. She was the loving mother of three sons and two daughters, who along with their children, will always remember her with love, honor and respect. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Ruth Gambrel and Lucille Neiderhiser. She is survived by her loving husband, Lee; sons, David, Douglas (Shien) and Daniel (Dawn) McCullough; daughters, Diana Perry and Deborah (Bruce) Amundson; grandsons, Maxton and Ian McCullough; granddaughters, Angela (Warren) Boysen, Mikayla, Mackenzie and Madison McCullough; and great grandson, Trevor Boysen. There will be a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 550 25th Avenue NW Rochester. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes on Friday, February 17, 2017 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
