Lois Marie Kuntz, 75, of Rochester passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Rochester Health Services East. Lois was born May 18, 1944 in Austin, MN to Arnold and Arlene (Schwartz) Hammermeister. In 1968, Lois married Arnold "Arnie" Kuntz and they raised two children, Cheryl and Chad. She was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church and also sang in the church choir. Lois loved crafts, knitting blankets for her family, gardening, canning and collecting cookbooks. She loved hiking, camping and bonfires. Often times, she would sit around the fire with a book or magazine, enjoying the peacefulness that surrounded her. Lois and Arnie shared an incredible bond that brought out the best in each other. They also shared a love of music. Lois learned to play the drums, where she and Arnie played for years at the Ponderosa Supper Club on Friday and Saturday nights.
