Lois Amelia Schweitzer

ROCHESTER, MINN: Lois A. Schweitzer, 80, passed away peacefully Monday, July 11, 2011 at Golden Living West. Lois was born July 15, 1930 in Winona, MN to Louis and Edna (Blace) Kinnerup. She married Jack Schweitzer on June 12, 1950 in Winona, MN. She was a graduate ofWinona High School, attended Winona State University and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rochester and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ. Lois loved doing cross stitch, crocheting and sewing. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed watching football, baseball and college basketball games. Lois was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lois is survived by her five daughters, Joy (Raymond) Lemmer of Minneiska, MN, Sharon (Larry) Dorn of Faribault, MN, Pam (James) Vernon of Highfield, FL, Brenda (Russell) Moritz of Rochester, MN, Faye (Tony Lammers) Johnson of Chatfield, MN, three sons, Richard (Dede) of Pine Island, MN, Mr. Jackie Jr. (Robin) of San Diego, CA, and Paul (Tammi) of Estero, FL; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack; parents and granddaughter, Elizabeth. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00pm Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. A Funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, July 15, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church 2124 Viola Rd. NE, Rochester, MN 55906 where the family will also receive friends 10:00am until time of service. The Reverend Fred Rengstorf will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
