Lloyd Raymond Kingsbury passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2016 at his home in Rochester. He was born on September 8, 1919 in Boone, Iowa, to Ivan and Mabel Kingsbury. His family moved to Kasson, MN, where he attended and graduated from Kasson High School.The family then moved to and farmed near Rochester, MN where he met the love of his life, Evelyn Kaldenburg.They married on November 3, 1945.Together they built a very successful lifelong business in dairy farming.He was a member of the American Dairy Association and Associated Milk Producers Inc. There was nothing more important to Lloyd than family.He was a loving guide, teacher and friend to his children.He was very involved as a 4-H Club leader and always in the audience to cheer the children on.He and Evelyn traveled extensively throughout the world, making new friends wherever they traveled.He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, always thinking this would be their winning year. He credits the Widowed Persons Group for coming to his rescue after Evelyns death and was an active member.He was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church and spent time as a volunteer at the Church. He is survived by his three children Carol (Christopher) Reid of Calgary, Canada,Jane Kingsbury of Rochester and Alan (Dana) of Plainview; three grandchildren Aimee (Damian) Blewett of Melbourne, Australia,Justin (Heidi) Reid of Calgary, Canada, and Samantha Kingsbury of Rochester; ten great grandchildren:Benjamin, Emily, Madilyn, Taylor, Lily, Edwin, Jeremiah, Alexis, Ashton, and Preston; and 14 nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, his parents and brother. The memorial service for Lloyd will be held Friday, January 22, 2016; 11:00 A.M. at Christ United Methodist Church, with Reverend Nancy Wheeler-Handlon officiating.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.A private burial for family will take place at a later date.
