Lloyd Maurice Rueber

Lloyd M. Rueber, age 75, died on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at his home in Oronoco. The memorial service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be at 2:00 pm in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery Preston, MN. Lloyd Maurice Rueber was born on September 12, 1941, in Oronoco Township, Olmsted County, to Roger and Marie (Morrow) Rueber. He graduated from Pine Island High School. On May 16, 1962, he entered into the United States Navy. He served for over 21 years and retired as Senior Chief Officer for Firefighting Training Center in Great Lakes Illinois. Lloyd worked at the Mayo Clinic for 20 years before his final retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching stock car races. Lloyd also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Chad (Debbie) Rueber of Union Grove, WI and Jason (Brandy) Rueber of Hanover Park, IL; daughter, Tatiana Ermeloff of Oronoco; grandchildren, Kendall and Aaron, Reagan, Kennedy and Bryson; brothers, Robert (Jackie) Rueber of Oronoco and Kenneth (Mardelle) Rueber of Pine Island; sister, Mary Thirtle of Lake Lake Jackson, TX; many nieces and nephews, along with his dear friends.
