Lloyd J. Larson, age 86, of Rochester, died on Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus. The memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel in Rochester with Reverend Paul Bauch officiating. The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and a half hour prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Peace United Church of Christ. Lloyd Junior Larson was born on August 12, 1930, in Ellsworth, WI, to Bennett and Gina (Loken) Larson. He graduated from Rochester High School and atteneded Rochester Community College. On June 8, 1952, he married Marian Cutshall at the Congregational Church in Rochester. Lloyd entered into the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked in the accounting department at Crenlo for over 40 years and retired in 1993. Lloyd loved traveling, gardening, square dancing and was a past president. He volunteered at the Mayo Clinic, Civic Center and Triad. He was very active in the Rochester Theater and Repertory Theater. Lloyd was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Steven (Gina) Larson of Rochester and Ronald Larson of Burnsville. Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marian who died in 1962; son, David Larson who died in 2010; four brothers and three sisters.
