Linda Siem

Linda Siem, age 53, of Rochester, died on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at her home. The visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. The burial will be at Farm Hill Cemetery in Farmington Township, Olmsted County. Linda Cora Unger was born on April 5, 1966, to Howard and Darlene (Kinyon) Unger. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1985. Linda worked at Michael's and other restaurants in Rochester, as well as operating her own cleaning business. She furthered her education and attended college obtaining various degrees. Linda began her career with Mayo Clinic working a variety of jobs and most recently as a Production Coordinator for the photography unit. She volunteered at Recovery is Happening, helping others. Linda enjoyed connecting with her spirituality and spreading positivity with everyone she met. On July 26, 2014, she married the love of her life, "her sweet farmer Dan," as Linda referred to him as. They spent a wonderful five years together. Linda was the planner in the family and enjoyed being around those she loved. She was well known and loved by many. Linda went out of her way for others, was very caring and her uplifting attitude was remarkable. She enjoyed photography, reading, going to her children's and grandchildren's activities, and most of all, Linda loved life. She treasured her annual vacation at Madeline Island and felt at peace there. Linda's dream was being on the farm and living in the country with all of her many animals. Linda is survived by her husband, Danny; children, Erika (Justin) Wocken Kennedy of Rochester, Alex Nelson of Rochester, Danielle (Dillan) Dohrn of Zumbro Falls; Dylan Siem of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Audrey Wocken, future baby Dohrn due in December; siblings, Todd (Selam) Unger of Rochester, Christina (James) St. Germaine of Duluth; nephews, Brandon St. Germaine and Steven Unger; niece, Sophia Unger. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maurice Unger and sister, Maureen Kinyon. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the Siem family.
