Linda Prescher-Phillipe, 80 of Grand Junction CO, passed away on January 3, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Linda had been staying in Rochester since June of 2024, to be closer to her son Matthew and the Mayo Clinic for her medical needs.
Linda was born June 9, 1944 in Huron, South Dakota, moving to Rochester where she met her husband Rex Prescher of 25 years. Linda started her career with the phone company and worked there for 40 years. During that time, she became friends with many of her team members and enjoyed spending time with them in and outside of work. Linda moved to Colorado with her partner John Phillipe, where she retired from the phone company.
Linda was a beautiful soul who loved life to the fullest and was always there for her friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She had many interests and hobbies. Besides being an avid reader, she enjoyed puzzles, gardening, crochet, sewing, dancing, and horseback riding. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed her time traveling back to Minnesota and traveling to many states by RV.
Linda is survived by her son Matthew, special friend Misty and close friend Sharon Copeman, John Phillipe of Grand Junction, CO, two stepdaughters and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by Rex Prescher, parents Lawrence and Lucinda Perry, three sisters and one brother.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
