Lillian R. Center

Lillian R. Center, 91, of Rochester, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital. Lillian was born May 9, 1923 in Carson Lake, MN to Marko and Helen (Kosir) Mrkonich. She was a 1941 graduate of Hibbing High School, Hibbing, MN. She married Constantine R. Center on June 5, 1948 in Hibbing. They lived all their married life in Rochester, MN. Lillian worked for Dayton's for 30 years. In retirement she lovingly cared for many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was cooking and baking for family and friends. Lillian is survived by her children, Anna Randall of Zumbro Falls, Helen (Jeffrey) Papke of Rochester, Constance Center of Rochester, Harry (Lisa Lofgren) Center of Rochester; ten grandchildren, Rick (Lorrie) Randall, Robb (Amy) Randall, Barbara Randall, Kathy (Steven) Lehmann, Nikolas (Nicole) Papke, Tina (Mark) Swee, Jennifer (Marshall) Tweed, Andrew (Jennae) Center, Alex Center, Molly Center; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Constantine; two sisters, Lucy Pocrnich, Helen Buescher and by her parents, Marko and Helen. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Monday, October 27, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Ave. SE., Rochester, MN.Rev.
