Lillian Apfel

Lillian M. Apfel, 94, formerly of Kenyon, MN died November 12, 2014 at Golden living Center East in Rochester MN. Lillian Marie Farka was born on October 4, 1920 to Paul and Susie Naylor in Claremont, MN.She married Rudolph F. Apfel on November 22, 1938.They lived on the same farm in rural Kenyon until 2009.Lillian worked for the Mayo Clinic in the post office department 1957-1982 until retiring. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Hindal of Rochester; one sister, Ethel Quimby of Claremont and one brother Ward Farka of Spokane, WA;four grandchildren, Cheryl (Mark) Johnson of Rochester, Lisa (Glen) Lenzen of Cave Creek, AZ, Mark (Lynette) Hindal of Rochester and Kevin (Mary) Hindal of Scappoose, OR; nine great grandchildren, Erik, Evan and Ethan Johnson, Dylan and Carly Lenzen, Ellie and Emily Hindal, Nathan Hindal and Allyson Richard.She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Susie Farka; a sister, Millie Farka; her husband, Rudolph and a son in law, Dean Hindal. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel.Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson, MN.
