Letha Schleusner Odman

Letha Schleusner Odman, 96, of Olmsted County, Minnesota died Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, Minnesota. Letha was born February 21, 1923 to John and Marie (Christianson) Lien in Rock Dell, Minnesota. She graduated Rochester High School in 1940. She married Ernest Schleusner on August 17, 1940 and they farmed on several farms in Southeast Minnesota. Ernest died April 13, 1976. Letha and Ernest were blessed with two children, Dale "Butch" and Liela. Liela died in 1998 of Lou Gehrig's disease. Letha married Carl Odman in 1988, he died in 1996. Letha did volunteer work at Senior Citizens in Rochester and worked at Dison's. She loved dancing, fishing, canning and freezing vegetables, fruits and meat. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Byron. She is survived by her son, Dale "Butch" (Julie) Schleusner; six grandchildren, Jody (David) Radke, Wanda Radke, Chrissy (Brian) Harvey, Dale Jr. (Debbie) Schleusner, Craig (Trina) Schleusner, Rich Bennett; eight great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ernest and Carl; daughter, Liela Radke and son-in-law, Ron Radke; two brothers and two sisters. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Letha generously donated her body to Mayo for research. Memorials are preferred to Seasons Hospice Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes is honored to be serving the Odman family.
