Lester I. Kocher

Lester I. Kocher, 96, of Rochester, MN passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Homestead at Rochester. Lester Irving Kocher was born September 8, 1920 in Endicott, NY to Clyde and Freida (Ide) Kocher. Lester grew up in New York. He married Ruth Manzer on June 1, 1945 in Endicott, NY. The couple lived in Endicott until they moved to Rochester in 1957. Lester worked for IBM, retiring in May 1984. Lester is survived by two sons, Dale and Kevin Kocher, both of Rochester; one daughter, Kara (Bruce) Solheid of Lino Lakes, MN; four grandchildren, Kendra and Megan Kocher (Ben Goetsch) and Michael and Brent Solheid; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Charlotte; and one brother, Fred (Arlene) Kocher of New York. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; and one brother, Quentin. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
