Leroy Francis Kanz, Jr.

Rochester- Le Roy Francis Kanz Jr. age 52 of Rochester passed away June 8, 2013 at his residence. Born September 28, 1960 in Winona, MN the son of Le Roy F. and Janelle B. (Westberg) Kanz. Le Roy worked in the Printing industry for Schmidt Printing in Byron for 28 years and the past three years for Insty Prints in Rochester. He was an avid Nascar fan favoring Kevin Harvick, enjoyed woodworking, sporting events and especially a NY Rangers fan, active member of the Southern Minnesota Sportsman's Club where he enjoyed his time spent on the shooting range. He was a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church for several years. He was a very loving and outgoing and his family was very important to him, especially his "three girls". He married Brenda Sue Czaplewski on July 24, 1982 and she survives. Also surviving are his 2 daughters, Bridget Le Ann Bruns (Nick) and Brittney Lynn Kanz both of Rochester, 2 very special step grandchildren, Haylee and Chase Bruns and his granddaughter Airabella Bruns who is soon to arrive. His parents, Le Roy and Janelle Kanz of Winona, 4 brothers, William Kanz, James Kanz (Carol Qual), John Kanz (Pam Anderson), and Arthur Kanz, and niece Jenifer Kanz, all of Winona. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services. Private family burial of cremains will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials appreciated to the family.
