Leonard Arthur McIntyre, Sr., 77, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Leonard was born September 14, 1937 in Rochester to Gerald and Alvina (Frego) McIntyre. On October 26, 1963 Leonard married Linda O'Brien at Saint Joachims Catholic Church in Plainview. He was a veteran of the US Army proudly serving in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Divisions. He was a member of the Stewartville American Legion and was a founding member of the Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club. Leonard worked as a driver for numerous companies throughout his career including, Pulver Towing, Kuhlman Towing, Rochester Transportation, Kennedy Coaches and Harold Watson Rubbish. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending his time on his Ham radio but above all, Leonard loved spending time and making memories with his family. Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Michelle (James) Toche of Minnetonka, Leonard (Donna) McIntrye, Jr. of Rochester, Lyle (Dale) McIntyre of Dodge Center, Todd (Kim Musolf) Roush of Rochester; 15 grandchildren, Jerry (Isabel) Toche, Tiffany Toche, Heather (Nathan Jackson) Toche, Jamie Toche, GiGi (Benjamin) Rudy, Michael Brown, Leonard Lyle McIntyre, Rachel Moore, Elizabeth Moore, John McIntyre, Lyle (Tiffani) Keller, Blake (Danielle) Randall, Amelia McIntyre, Brandon Johnson, Chad Wiskow; 17 great-grandchildren and sister, Carol Blowers of Blaine, MN. He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine and by his parents, Gerald and Alvina. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2014 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Preston State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
