Leon Ernster

Leon A. Ernster, 75, passed away on October 16, 2024 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN.

Leon was born in Wadena, MN and graduated from Verndale High School. He attended Hamline University, where he met his wife, Deborah. He attended the University of Minnesota Dental School. After graduation he served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Great Lakes, Illinois. He practiced endodontic dentistry in Rochester for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Olive; sister Frances. He is survived by his wife Deborah; son Jason (Emily); brothers, George and Dale; grandchildren, Claire and Edmund.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Congregrational Church United Church of Christ 974 Skyline Dr. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Interment will be held at Preston Veteran’s Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Univeristy of MN School of Dentistry
