LaVonne Anna Kyllo, 81, of Byron, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. LaVonne was born November 3, 1938 in Pine Island, MN to Howard and Hazel (Denny) Bruce. On May 1, 1955 LaVonne married Larry Kyllo. Larry and LaVonne purchased their family farm near Byron in 1965. Larry and LaVonne had a dedicated marriage, always spending time and doing things together. LaVonne and Larry enjoyed traveling to Branson, Hawaii and many other destinations. LaVonne loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens and canning what she grew. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she relished all the memories that were made with her family around the holidays. LaVonne was very helpful to many brides over the years from making unity candles, wedding cakes and altering dresses. She was a member of South Zumbro Lutheran Church and The Red Hat Ladies. She loved to dance and listen to old time country and polka music. LaVonne was very involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a creative, vivacious and social woman. LaVonne was a great conversationalist and had a witty sense of humor. LaVonne is survived by her children, Shirley (Greg) Brown of Rochester, Dennis of Byron, Sharon (Dan) Bell of St. Charles, Gary (Barb) Kyllo of Byron, Craig (Bobbie) Kyllo of Byron; grandchildren, Kat (Chuck) Spencer, Amanda Brown, Bill (Ashley) Kyllo, Angela Kyllo, Dustin, Sidney and Scott Bell, Joy Paulson, Steven (Andrew) Hallfrisch-Kyllo, Cory Kyllo and Seth Stella; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, LaMoyne (Lois) Bruce, Alvin (Janice) Bruce, Farrel (Louise) Bruce; sisters, Deb (Rod) Mell, Marcia (Mark) McGlinch and many nieces and nephews. LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; grandson, Jeremy and by her parents. A funeral service to celebrate LaVonne's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at South Zumbro Lutheran Church 4830 120th Ave. SW, Kasson, MN with Rev. Pete Wyttenback officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at South Zumbro Lutheran Church Cemetery.
