Lavonne Janice Fischer

ROCHESTER, MINN:LaVonne J. Fischer, 79, died December 23, 2012 at Season's Hospice. LaVonne Janice Laures was born November 27, 1933 to John and Martha (Scherger) Laures in Hayfield, MN. She married Eusebius Fischer on October 10, 1953. LaVonne worked at Weber and Judd Drug Store for over twenty years. She managed the Hallmark Card and Gift sections at all Weber and Judd locations throughout the year; including the changing of all holiday and special occasion cards. LaVonne enjoyed gardening, canning, and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker and took pride in her work. She was a very caring person who was known to have a great sense of humor. LaVonne had a collection of Snowman and Hallmark ornaments. LaVonne is survived by her children, Victor (Bonnie) Fischer, Rochester, MN, John (Carol) Fischer, Rochester, MN, Bradley (Jeanne) Fischer, Stewartville, MN, and Arlene (Tom) Bahr, Byron, MN; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her sister Delores Brakke, Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son James, two brothers and a sister. She will be missed by her family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Byron, MN. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
