Laurel "Tiny" Glennis Holt

ORONOCO, MINN:Laurel G. (Tiny) Holt, 73, died on Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital. Laurel Glennis Holt was born April 27, 1941 to Stanley Z. and Martha V. (Newell) Holt in Rochester, MN. Tiny was in the first graduating class at Rochester John Marshall High School in 1959.He worked construction for many years as a backhoe operator and ran the family farm after his father's death. He married Lou Ann Rossin April 28, 1979 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. Tiny retired in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and helping neighbors and friends. Tiny and Lou Ann would vacation up north and occasionally visit St. Bernard's. Tiny is survived by his beloved wife of thiry-five years, Lou Ann Holt, Oronoco, MN, five grandchildren; Natasha Rubin,Rebecca (Eric) Jenneke, Carissa Rubin, Carrie (Troy) Nelson, and Steven Huper; one great grandchild Bradley Rubin; and their mother and grandmother Sally (James)Vietor, Elkton, MN; three brothers, Verlyn (Sheila) Holt, Byron, MN, Mark Holt, Byron, MN and Floren (Rose) Holt, Stover, MO.; a sister-in-law, Cathy (Ron) Walters, Elgin, MN. and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Bradley and Rodney; three brothers, Newell, Darold, Zbina; sister's Darlene and Ruth. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
