Larry E. Vonch, 82, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Larry Edward Vonch was born January 5, 1933 to Edward and Maybelle (McDonald) Vonch in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1951. Larry married Dorothy J. Rud on November 11, 1951 at East St. Olaf Church in Rock Dell, MN. The couple had six children. Larry and his brother Duane owned Vonch Concrete. After retiring, Larry and Dorothy moved to their lake home on Lake Zumbro. Larry loved boating, gardening, fishing and wintering at their home in Florida. He was widely known for his love of woodworking, especially making wooden toys for his great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Hospice for their dedicated support and care. Larry is survived by his wife Dorothy Vonch, Rochester, MN; six children, Steve Vonch, Rochester, MN, Brad (Mary) Vonch, Milaca, MN, Sherry (Jim) Rush, Byron, MN, Terry (Steve) Fields, Rochester, MN, Jackie (Tim) Ledwein, Charlotte, NC, and LuAnn Bayer, Apple Valley, MN;13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a brother Duane (Judy) Vonch, Fountain, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother David and a sister Linda. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel with Rev. Dr. Charles Ortloff officiating.
