Larry, age 80, of Byron, died on Wednesday, January 25, at Maple Manor Senior Living in Rocheser, MN.The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 4830 120th Avenue SW, Kasson. The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a spring burial in the church cemetery. Larry Jerome Kyllo was born on February 26, 1936, in Dodge County, MN, to Justin and Lillian (Severson) Kyllo. He attended school in Byron. On May 1, 1955, he married LaVonne Anna Bruce. Larry began his farming career and worked on the family farm for several years until he and LaVonne purchased their farm in 1965 near Byron. He and LaVonne enjoyed dancing and traveling including trips to Alaska and Hawaii. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, but Larrys passion was farming. He was known for always being positive and was up for any type of challenge. One of his famous quotes was, If it aint broke, dont fix it. He was a member of South Zumbro Lutheran Church and the Eagles Club. Larry is survived by his wife, LaVonne; children, Shirley (Greg) Brown of Rochester, Dennis of Byron, Sharon (Dan) Bell of St. Charles, Gary (Barb) Kyllo of Byron, Craig (Bobbie) Kyllo of Byron; grandchildren, Kat (Chuck) Spencer, Amanda Brown, Billy and Angela Kyllo, Dustin Bell, Sidney and Scott Bell, Joy Paulson, Steven (Andrew) Hallfrisch-Kyllo, Cory Kyllo and Seth Stella; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Darlene) Kyllo of Preston, MN and Lyle (Betty) Kyllo of Winnemucca, NV; and many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Justin and Lillian; grandson, Jeremy Kyllo; brothers, Sanford and Milferd Kyllo.
