LaDonna Paul

LaDonna (Steffie) Paul, age 92, passed away on November 16, 2024.

Steffie was born in Wykoff, MN to Thurman and Alice Steffensrud. She graduated from Winona State University and married Kenneth E. Paul of Spring Valley, MN on June 29, 1955. At the beginning of her career, she was an elementary teacher in the Austin and Albert Lea parochial schools.

Steffie was an active member of the League of Women Voters. She volunteered at St. Theodore's Catholic Church and for the Vision and Hearing in Albert Lea. Throughout her life, she also spent time volunteering at neighborhood public elementary schools.

Steffie was a loyal MN Vikings fan and also enjoyed college basketball and particulary the Final Four Tournament. She was an avid book reader and lover of big band and jazz music. It was important to Steffie to be informed and current on events and developments. She enjoyed quality conversation around what was happening in the world and was diligent about being physically active until her death. She was grateful for the friendships that developed while living at Shorewood Senior Center in Rochester.

Steffie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and infant son.

There will be no funeral service. A private prayer/blessing will be held at time of burial.

Survivors include children: Kathy (Dwight) Sevaldson, Anna (Kelly) Peterson, Kep Paul, Peggy (Marty) Lienau, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
