Kevin H. Posivio

Kevin H. Posivio, age 57, of Rochester, died on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Norman Wahl officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2016, from 4:00 8:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family for his daughters education. Kevin was born on November 26, 1958, in Owatonna, to Howard and Darlyne (Lurken) Posivio. He graduated from Glenville High School in 1977. On May 11, 1985, he married Gina Christenson in Albert Lea. Kevin worked for Hy-Vee as a produce manager for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing many sports in high school, but basketball was his favorite. Kevin enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Vikings. He also loved golfing, bowling, going up North fishing, and being with friends. Kevin was caring, loving, supportive, and an excellent mentor to the people he loved. He will be greatly missed by his Posivio, Lurken, and Christenson families, as well as his Hy-Vee family. Kevin always put family first. Kevin is survived by his wife, Gina Posivio of Rochester; daughters, Brianna and Brooke Posivio both of Rochester; mother, Darlyne Schmalfeldt of San Diego, CA; sister, Kim Tyler of San Diego, CA. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Howard Posivio; and infant brother.
