Keri Jane Kruckeberg

Keri J. Kruckeberg, age 51, of Kasson, Minnesota passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 28, 2020 after a 2 ½ year courageously fought battle of glioblastoma. Keri Jane Kruckeberg was born June 21, 1968 in Glencoe, Minnesota the daughter of Elroy and Lorna (Neubarth) Pautz. As a child she was raised on a farm in New Auburn, MN. She graduated from Glencoe High School and Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in biology. In 1990, Keri was recruited to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She began work as a Clinical Lab Technologist and held several roles throughout her career. Most recently as the Genetics Laboratory Supervisor for the Clinical Genome Sequencing Laboratory. She was currently working on her Master's Degree in Health Care Administration. In 1985, Keri was married to Phil Rechtzigel and in their union they had four children, Courtney, Katrina, Stefan and Anna. They later divorced. She later married Kent Kruckeberg in 2004 and in their union had two children, Caden and Ian. Keri enjoyed spending time outdoors either creating her "outdoor space" with flowers or soaking up the warmth of the sun with a coffee in her hand and relaxing by the water. She took great pride in her home and family. She was a member of South Zumbro Lutheran Church. Keri is survived by her husband, Kent Kruckeberg of Kasson, MN; six children, Courtney (Adam) Holz of Dodge Center, MN, Katrina (Ryan) Linzmeyer of Rochester, MN, Stefan Rechtzigel (Jade Hill) of Kasson, MN, Anna Rechtzigel of Kasson, MN and Caden and Ian Kruckeberg of Kasson, MN; three grandchildren, William and Henry Holz and Hadley Linzmeyer; six siblings, Vicki Pautz (Dan Perschau) of Eagan, MN, Sally (Leon) McNellis of Eagan, MN, Jean (Lyle) Turtle of Byron, MN, Steven (Diane) Pautz of Seward, AK, James (Connie) Pautz of Glencoe, MN and Patrick (Shirley Cardozo) Pautz of Minneapolis, MN and many extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents. A public visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. A private family service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating.
