Kent Rundquist

Kent R. Rundquist, 55, of Douglas, MN died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Season's Hospice in Rochester surrounded by his loving family. Kent Robert Rundquist was born on February 16, 1963 to Robert Jr. and Nancy (Kent) Rundquist in Rochester, MN. In 1981 he graduated from Pine Island High School. He worked for a friend on their farm and worked at Tractor Supply in Rochester. On November 3, 1990 he married Lynn Stuve. The couple moved to Douglas in 1992. He started working part time for the United States Postal Service in 1985, it led to a full-time rural mail carrier position. He was a member of BCCA (Beer Can Collectors of America), VSCA (Vintage Snowmobile Club of America) and the Zumbro Valley Tractor Club. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and working on and collecting snowmobiles, tractors, beer cans, small scale tractors and small-scale football helmets. He also enjoyed camping, the annual tractor driver, model cars and he loved to garden. Kent is survived by his wife, Lynn of Douglas, MN; son, Brandon Rundquist of Douglas, MN; his parents, Robert Jr. and Nancy Rundquist of Pine Island; maternal grandmother, Iris Kent of Pine Island, MN and paternal grandfather, Robert Rundquist, Sr. of West Concord, MN; two sisters, Kris (Steve) Hollingsworth of St. Cloud, MN and Kelli (Dan) Snapp of Chaska, MN; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Schuyler Kent and paternal grandmother, Eulah Rundquist. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre (5482 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN). Inurnment will take place in the Center Grove Cemetery in Douglas, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Season's Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
