Keith Skeeter Arthur Fee, 83, of Rochester, MN, diedFriday, October 9, 2015, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Hospice Unit, after being diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. Keith was born in Breda, Iowa on December 6, 1931, to Frank and Rosalia (Brinker) Fee.He had six siblings Iver, Velma, Elaine, Virtus Red, Phyllis Mae, and his only surviving sibling, Patricia Pat. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy, serving during the Korean War on the USS Dixie from 1950-1954, and was stationed out of San Diego, CA and Japan. While serving in Japan, one of his highlights was playing baseball on the US Navy team and competing against the Japanese National Team in Sasebo, Japan. On leave from the war, Keith met Rosemary (Bock) at a dance in Arcadia, Iowa. They married in 1955 and moved to Missouri where he attended Northwest Missouri State College, majoring in business.After graduation, he worked for State Farm Insurance as an insurance adjuster until his retirement in 1992.Keith and Rosemary bought a home on Lake Panorama, Iowa, after retirement and lived there for 15 years. At the lake, they fished, spent time on their boat, and hosted many parties, holiday dinners, and get-togethers for family and friends.In 2007, wanting to be closer to family, they moved to Rochester, Minnesota.Keith enjoyed building model ships and loved his job as a Mayo Clinic volunteer.He was also a master at making hamburgers, slickers (crepes), and telling stories one who never forgot a joke or limerick.He loved nothing more than getting a laugh out of his children and grandchildren with his classic jokes. Keith and Rosemary have five children:Kevin (Sherri) of Marion, Iowa; Karen Ross (Kevin) of Eagle, Colorado; Kristin O'Donnell (David) of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; Kelliann Fee-Schroeder (Michael) of Rochester, MN; and K.C. (Stephanie) of Rochester, Minnesota. They also have 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be missedmore than words can convey. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home, Rochester, MN.The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Pax Christi Church, Rochester, MN.A burial service, will full military honors, will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, at Fort Snelling, in Minneapolis, MN.Memorials may be made to Mayo Clinic Hospice,Pax Christie Church in Rochester or to the Melanoma Research Program at Mayo Clinic.
