Keith E. Sandvik

Keith Sandvik, 77, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2016 at Cottagewood Senior Communities with his family by his side. Keith Engvald Sandvik was born November 10, 1938 in Decorah, IA to Engvald and Dorothy (Meier) Sandvik.He graduated from Harmony High School in 1956 and attended Rochester Community College.He married Betty Amdahl in 1961 and resided in Rochester. Keith joined Allstate Insurance in 1962 and retired after 32 years.Keith enjoyed travel, golf, winters in Texas, working with his hands, and spending time with family and friends. Keith will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 54 years, Betty; his children Brad (Julie) Sandvik of Wabasha, Jill (Jim) Johnson of Brooklyn Park; his loving grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Davis, Brandon Johnson and Bryanna Sandvik and 2 great-granddaughters, Ashley and Ayla Davis. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Engvald and Dorothy and a sister, Sally Bestor. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 18, 2016 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 1212 12th Avenue NW Rochester, MN. with Pastor Karna Hagen Moskalik officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will be at Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester at a later date.
